31-Day Zero Waste Challenge

Minimising waste is a big part of my lifestyle. As an environmental and sustainability writer, I do a lot of research into green and sustainable living, as well as continuing good habits I’ve been taught from a young age; and I’m always up for new tips, tricks, and challenges. The latest one I found was Earth Hero’s 31-day zero waste challenge. However, upon going through the list I found I did a lot of them already; so I decided to start with the last tip: encourage others.

This is something I do often. I try not to be preachy about eco-friendly living or bash people over the head with it. But it’s something I’ve always been passionate about so I will continue encouraging and informing those around me, despite the mockery and insults.

Besides, I’ve also seen positive impacts from all my chatter. Many people are willing to listen and change bad habits. They’re not necessarily formed out of malice, carelessness, or lack of caring. Sometimes it’s just a case of “I never knew” or “I never thought about it that way”.

In that spirit, I’ll be sharing Earth Hero’s 31 tips and tricks and how I incorporate them into my life.
